Illustrator and cartoonist Steve Pica began his career the minute he walked into the newsroom of the Independent Florida Alligator at the University of Florida. From there Pica has collaberated with newspapers, magazines, advertising agencies and book publishers including Smithsonian Magazine, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Wall Street Journal, Young & Rubicam, Neiman Marcus, Ogilvy, Panasonic, Fidelity Investments, Lerner Publishing, The Millbrook Press, Bantam-Doubleday-Dell and Oxford University Press.
Pica also sells original works of marine, coastal and Florida wildlife art, giving proceeds to organizations like Defenders of Wildlife, Audubon Florida and the Florida Wildlife Corridor.
